We invest in efforts to educate and engage our communities in activities that promote the stewardship of our natural resources, and we support programs that are critical to the development of our most vulnerable youth, from their earliest years into young adulthood.
Early Childhood Education
A quality early start for children provides lasting benefits for the rest of their lives. We need more preschools and we need more tuition assistance. But we also need to develop and train more educators who will provide the safe and inspiring learning environment that give keiki the strongest possible start.

Opportunity Youth
One out of every 9 people between the ages of 16 and 24 is not in school or in the workforce. Finding a way to engage this population of young people is vital to our community’s economic future. Supporting organizations that focus on this work and are willing to share their progress with others can change the future for all of us.

Community-Based Environmental Stewardship
Island resilience requires collaborative action and learning between our communities, science and government. Engaged and knowledgeable communities who live by the values of mālama and aloha ‘āina help protect our home — one of the most ecologically diverse places on Earth.
